Contract Opportunities



The Specialized Support Worker's primary function is to support clients of all ages with mental health issues, complex needs, developmental disabilities and/or any range of behaviour challenges. Under the direction of our management team, our Specialized Support Workers provide a broad spectrum of services to our clients. Our seamless process of communication allows families and members of the care team to collect accurate information about our client's progress and make any necessary changes in a timely manner. This level of communication facilitates the effectiveness of all strategies and programs and optimizes our client's potential for success and increase in independence.  



  •  Incorporate goals into the client’s everyday life in a way that ensures a consistent and structured   routine.

  •  Review all documentation and objectives provided by the plan of care team and offer suggestions   and input when requested.

  •  Liaise with all members of the care team to ensure effective service provision. 

  •  Review all documentation provided by the plan of care team.

  •  Communicate with Genesis Manager on a regular basis, seeking guidance when necessary.

  •  Participate in ongoing training and professional development in-services.

  •  Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  •  Communicate and present in a professional and courteous manner.

  •  Exercise effective time management and demonstrate consistent punctuality.

  •  Treat every client with dignity and respect.

Education and Experience:

  •   Relevant post-secondary education and experience within the health and/or social services field.

  •   In-depth knowledge and experience with the design, development and implementation of                  behaviour strategies and interventions.


  •   Maintain up-to-date criminal reference checks including vulnerable sector screening.

  •   Valid driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract.

  •   Maintain certification in Non-Violent Crisis Prevention and Intervention.

  •   Updated certification in CPR and First Aid.
